    • Hi Joel, You can eat this if you come to Japan…and catch a sawara. It is one of those fish that really has to be eaten on the day so you can’t really buy it to eat as sashimi. I was lucky to land this fish as usually their sharp teeth cut right through your leader.

      • I know. I just have to get out there. One day… My favorite fish are Aji, Kohada, Iwashi, Shimaaji, Sawara, etc. Mostly blue fish you have to eat right away. They are the best tasting and the best for you.
