This year Eel Day coincided with the Sumidagawa Fireworks festival. We still ate eel.
Now that is a tasty bowl of eel. I celebrated with memories of smoked eel in Sweden.
I have heard of this, but never been lucky enough to try Swedish smoked eel. Is it hot-smoked, or is further cooked with other things? The best Swedish thing I have ever eaten is inlagd sill.
